Godsworn Character Creation

This is a walk-thru for character creation for a Godsworn concept. In an effort to make the creation process as easy as possible, we provide nearly everything in copy and paste formats to take from the wiki here, into the game. Please make sure that the character is in the right room in the creation in the game.

As this page is meant to cover all Godsworn characters, of every faith, it would get a bit lengthy in its sections if we were to list every religion here. So please visit the Religion lore page for details on all of the different religions.

Title

The main religion of Westeros is the Faith of the Seven so that will be what is focused on first of all.

  • Silent Sister: The silent sisters are tasked with preparing deceased for the grave. They dress in grey robes, their faces hooded and shawled so only their eyes remain visible, as it is “ill fortune to look on the face of death”. The silent sisters do not speak to the living, and although some claim that the silent sisters have their tongues cut out, in truth the silent sisters have simply taken a vow of silence.
  • Begging Brother: These men travel from place to place, but are nonetheless not to be confused with wandering septons, as the latter are one rank up in the Faith’s hierarchy. The begging brothers are dressed in threadbare or roughspun robes, and some might go about barefoot. They all wear a bowl on a leather thong around their necks. Wandering the realm as a begging brother might be done as a penance.
  • Brown Brother: Brown brothers serve at septries, monastic communities of the Faith similar to monasteries. The brown brothers live in penitence, quiet contemplation, and prayer at these septries, and often take a vow of silence.
  • Elder Brother: The Elder Brother is the senior contemplative brother at septries of the Faith of the Seven where brothers take vows of silence. Only the Elder Brother and his proctors may speak.
  • Septa: Septas are the female clergy of the Faith of the Seven. They are women sworn to celibacy, sometimes serving noble houses as governesses and tutors to the daughters of lords, teaching them in matters of etiquette and history and activities such as sewing.
  • Septon: Septons are the male clergy of the Faith of the Seven. They preside over religious ceremonies such as weddings. They have taken vows of celibacy, and often take important positions in a noble's household, attending the local septs at castles and keeps.
  • Most Devout: The Most Devout are a council of the highest ranking clergy of the Faith of the Seven. They can be identified by their cloth-of-silver vestments and crystal coronals. Although the High Septon is usually elected from among the Most Devout, this is not a requirement.
  • High Septon: The High Septon is the head of the Faith of the Seven. Historically the High Septon ruled from the Starry Sept in Oldtown. This character is currently an NPC.

Name

Most Westerosi names are Saxon-originated (or passably so) English names with one or two consonant sound substitutions, ("Edward" to "Eddard") or a vowel shift ("Jeffrey" to "Joffrey") and it is preferred that this pattern is used to construct names.
Godsworn only have a first name. Part of the process of becoming a member of the Godsworn is giving up all links and ties to anything but the god or goddess the character has sworn themselves to, hence, Godsworn.

For the character's name, (Replacing the <>s and NAME with character's first name) in the game, type:
